Clear aligners in Malta

Straighten your teeth with removable transparent trays that nobody notices. Here's what a full course costs, how long it really takes, and the cases where we'll tell you honestly that fixed braces would serve you better.

Our price
From €1,900

A full course, covering the digital scan, every set of trays, all check-ups along the way and your first set of retainers. Complex cases reach €3,500. The figure is agreed in writing before we start — there is no per-tray surcharge if your treatment needs a refinement.

How it works, step by step

  1. Scan and simulation · 40 minutes, freeA digital scan, then we show you a simulation of your own teeth at the end of treatment before you spend anything. If you don't like the result on screen, there's no reason to go further.
  2. Your trays arrive · 2 to 3 weeksEach set is made for your teeth and worn for one to two weeks before you move to the next.
  3. Wearing them · 6 to 18 monthsTwenty-two hours a day. They come out to eat, to drink anything other than water, and to brush.
  4. Check-ups every 6 to 8 weeks · 15 minutesShort appointments to confirm the teeth are tracking to plan. If they aren't, we adjust — that's what the refinements in your price are for.
  5. Retainers · includedA fixed wire behind the lower front teeth and a clear night retainer above. Not optional: teeth move throughout life.

When aligners are right — and when they aren't

Aligners are excellent for a defined range of problems and genuinely worse than fixed braces for others. We'll tell you which you are at the first scan, even when the honest answer costs us the case.

Aligners suit you if

  • You have mild to moderate crowding or spacing
  • Your teeth relapsed after childhood braces
  • You'd rather nobody at work noticed
  • You'll actually wear them 22 hours a day

We'll recommend fixed braces if

  • Significant jaw movement is needed to fix the bite
  • Teeth need large rotations, or extraction gaps closed
  • You know you won't keep them in — that's not a judgement, it's planning
  • Someone has promised you a result aligners can't deliver

Questions people ask us

How much do clear aligners cost in Malta?

Between €1,900 and €3,500 for a full course, depending on how much movement is needed. Ours covers the scan, every set of trays, all check-ups and your first retainers, agreed in writing before treatment starts.

How long does it take?

Six to eighteen months for most people. Mild crowding or a small relapse after childhood braces often finishes in six to eight months; heavier crowding takes twelve to eighteen.

Do they work as well as fixed braces?

For mild to moderate crowding, spacing and bite correction, yes — the same result. Significant jaw movement, large rotations or closing extraction gaps are still faster and better with fixed braces, and we'll say so.

How many hours a day do I have to wear them?

Twenty-two. Out to eat, out to drink anything but water, out to brush. Wearing them less is by far the most common reason a treatment runs late.

Will my teeth move back afterwards?

They will if nothing holds them, which is why retainers are included and not optional. A fixed wire behind the lower front teeth, a clear night retainer above. Teeth drift throughout life — retention is permanent.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes, spread across the treatment period at no extra charge. Ask at the scan and we'll write the schedule into your quote.
